WHY DO YOU MAKE TWO-PIECE MDF CABINET DOORS WHERE THERE IS FLAT CENTER PANELS?

In our opinion, a two-piece MDF cabinet door is a better product than the traditional method of pocketing or machining out the center panels. Our method produces doors that 1) are easier for our customers to finish, 2) less prone to warping, and 3) provide a more stable finished product. The slightly higher production cost of this superior method is easily recovered by our clients through their cost savings in a more efficient cabinet finishing process. The two-piece door construction saves clients hours of sanding time during the priming process.

CAN I GET CUSTOM RAIL SIZES ON CABINET DOORS?

Routing MDF Cabinet Doors is our speciality so yes, we can manufacture custom rail sizes. It must be clearly marked on your order. The minimum rail width we manufacture is 2 1/4". For custom orders please contact one of our experts here.

CAN I GET A DIFFERENT OUTSIDE PROFILE?

We know that not everyone of your clients wants a standard shaker cabinet door. So yes, you can mix and match outside profiles from the different door styles within our catalogue.

CAN I GET A CUSTOM FRAME?

We are the leaders in MDF door manufacturing. We have been continually improving our process which uses custom software and top of the line CNCs. So yes, we can manufacture custom frame Mdf doors. Please note that while we want to always say yes, there are limitations with custom parts. For custom door inquiries please contact one of our experts here.

HOW DO I CALCULATE OUT THE DRAWER WIDTH FOR AN UNDER MOUNT SLIDE?

Unlike side mounted drawer slides, the critical dimension for the under mount slide is the distance from the inside of the cabinet to the inside of the drawer box (slide offset). Many slide manufacturers give you this measurement and the most common size is 21mm (27/32"). You must deduct this measurement from your inside cabinet width for both sides. You also need to add the thickness of the drawer side material for both sides.

• Our birch drawer sides are 16mm (5/8") thick.

• Our maple drawer sides are 15mm (19/32") thick.

• Formula:

  • "Inside Cabinet Width" - ("Slide Offset" x 2) + ("Drawer Side Thickness" x 2)

• Example:

  • = 418mm - (21mm x 2) + (15mm x 2)

  • = 418mm - 42mm + 30mm

  • = 406mm

WHAT ARE YOUR STANDARD DRAWER HEIGHTS?

To get the best possible value we have standard heights of 57mm,105mm, 140mm, 175mm, 230mm and 261mm.

For domestic materials (maple, walnut, white oak, etc.) we can customize and modify the heights.

WHAT IS YOUR STANDARD INSET OF THE DRAWER BOTTOM FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE DRAWER?

Our standard inset is 13mm (1/2"). This comes from a dimension for standard under mount slides which usually require a dimension between 12mm (15/32") and 15mm (19/32"). It also allows us to hide the bottom groove nicely inside the dovetails for our standard height drawers.

DO YOU PRODUCE DRAWERS IN OTHER WOOD SPECIES, SUCH AS WALNUT OR OAK?

WHAT ABOUT BALTIC BIRCH BOXES?

Currently, we only dovetail hardwood boxes. We have found that plywood has issues with chipping on the joints and there really is no cost savings like in the past. These issues have impacted our quality and ability to deliver on time.

Of course we do.

For smaller orders, we typically use courier services. For larger orders, we use LTL skid shipments.

WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE A FORKLIFT AT MY SHOP?

Please notify us when placing your order, and we will arrange a delivery with a lift gate.

WHAT IS THE TIME FRAME ON RUSH OR REPLACEMENT ORDERS?

It depends on the product, the size of the order, and timing at the plant. We do our best to accommodate these orders based on each situation.
